Damla's Wasabi Coleslaw

This trial coleslaw turned out to be pretty cool so here it goes:

1/3 of a cabbage, sliced thinly
1/4 of a red cabbage, also sliced thinly
2 cups of carrots, cut in tiny pieces (or shred them if you prefer, I kind of like little chunky pieces for crunch)

To this mixture, add a little bit of salt and 4 spoonfuls of rice vinegar.

While it rests mix 1 cup of wasabi mayonnaise (I got this from Trader Joe's, you could also get some good old wasabi paste and mix it with mayo but you'll need to figure out the ratio!), 1/2 cup of tartar sauce and 1 spoonful of dijon mustard.

Add black pepper and sumak to the mayo sauce (sumak is a Turkish spice, you can buy it online here, no idea what the English word for it is).

Then add 4 spoonfuls of extra virgin olive oil to the coleslaw mixture, mix well, then add the mayo sauce.

It turned out to be really tangy, crunchy with a hint of wasabi spiciness. Really cool side dish.

Enjoy!
:) Damla
